Lawn and landscape maintenance becomes a definite hardship when a family's major breadwinner is on active duty away from home. GreenCare for Troops is designed to show the green industry's concern for this situation, helping affected families maintain their homes' green spaces.

Project EverGreen has recruited well-known veteran Marine gunery sergeant R. Lee Ermey. He is more commonly known as the "Gunny" from his television show "Mail Call" on the Discovery Channel. Gunny is the designated celebrity spokesperson for Project EverGreen's GreenCare For Troops. His slogan is "GreenCare for Troops-Serving You While You Serve Us." Den Gardner, executive director of Project EverGreen states "Equally important, as a veteran Leatherneck, he is in total agreement with the mission of GreenCare for Troops. We look forward to working with him to ensure news of the program reaches those who can benefit from it most."

While Project Evergreen's GreenCare for Troops program continues its mission to help our military families, we hope that 2007 will bring PEACE to everyone.
